THE Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday that 5,468 out of 13,317 examinees passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination given this October.
The examination was conducted in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Lucena.
Ralley Soriano Paragas, a graduate of Colegio de Dagupan (for.COMPUTRONIX COLL), topped the exam with a 92.86 percent passing rate.
Ian Kier Javate Valencia of Batangas State University-Batangas City (PBMIT), placed second with a 92.57 percent passing rate; while Ronna Mae Enteria Ferrer of Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sta. Mesa, ranked third (92.14 percent).

The PRC also announced that the University of the Philippines-Diliman ranked first in the top performing schools after one out of its 77 examinee failed to pass the said examination. (Daryl D. Anunciado/Sunnex)
