THE Negros Occidental Provincial Government has again hired additional consultants for its public hospitals in the province.
Since January, a total of 58 consultants were already hired by the Capitol.
The Provincial Board authorized on February 28 Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. to sign the memorandum of agreement (MOA) to be entered into by the Provincial Government and six medical practitioners assigned in various public hospitals in the province.
Their contract is until December 31.
Hired as radiologist were Dr. Jose Revelo for Valladolid District Hospital and Dr. Jeremy John King for Cadiz District Hospital.
Also, two reliever doctors were hired for the Capitol-run hospitals in the province. They were Dr. Andy Panes for Cadiz District Hospital and Dr. Pedro Balgos for Governor Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial Hospital.
Also hired as consultants were Dr. Charles Michael Buyco as pathologist of Valladolid District Hospital and Ryan Jude Vasquez Tingson as radiologic technologist at Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital.
Salaries of the hired consultants range from P20,000 to P50,000 depending on the service rendered, mostly 48 hours a week.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Board also authorized Marañon to sign the MOA with various diagnostic centers and public hospitals in the province in relation to various medical referrals and services.
