NINE illegal gamblers were caught Sunday afternoon in Sitio Guba, Barangay Cogon Cruz, Danao City, Cebu.
Suspects organized an illegal derby, locally known as tigbakay. They failed to show a permit from the City Hall to the police.
They were charged for violating for Presidential Decree 1602, which penalizes illegal gambling activities.
Rochie Barrig, Allan Duterte, Carlito Tariao, Leo Agus, Blaine Trabucan, Genuel Jopia, Rex Meca, Jade Montes, and Anjie Amistad were caught on Sunday, December 3, by the team led by Chief Inspector Gerard Ace Pelare, the city police commander.
Seized from their possession were two roosters and bets amounting to P500. (KAL)
