FRANCHISING industry in the city is indeed thriving as another franchise branch of Beanleaf, a coffee and tea shop in one, opened last Thursday, September 15 at Torres St., Davao City.
Geared towards encouraging people to taste and experience the difference that is Beanleaf, Ailea Genova Orpiano, general manager of Beanleaf Davao, opened the new branch seeing bright prospects as its first Davao branch at the Gaisano Mall of Davao has been getting positive customer feedbacks and patronage.
“This new branch will cater to the constant request of our loyal customers in the mall branch, which is to open our store and extend our services until dawn or even 24 hours,” Orpiano said.
The Beanleaf-Torres branch had its soft-opening last September 8.
Initially, the new branch will be open until 2:00 a.m. daily but is eyed to be a 24-hour coffee and teashop soon.
Orpiano said with their new branch, which is strategically located in the downtown area of the booming city like Davao City, they are expecting better sales and foot traffic.
“In opening up a business, location is one of the primes concerns, so when we heard about this new commercial building (Near Davao Wisdom School) we immediately grab the opportunity,” she said.
Franchise fee is P1.6-million to operate under the Beanleaf brand.
Like its mall-based branch, Beanleaf Torres offers a wide array of flavors for its drinks and delicious meals.
“What is good with Beanleaf is that we are more like a one-stop shop, we have drinks and meals and more than that it is of quality and affordable,” Orpiano said.
The new branch has some 15 tables where students, young professionals and even those professional who are young at heart can dine, do homework or chit chat for one’s life diaries.
The Gaisano Mall branch has some 40 customers daily on an average, but with its new branch, Orpiano said that they are expecting more because of the location.
When asked about what factors they considered before opening a franchise branch, Orpiano was quick to respond that on top are sales, location and franchise owner’s support.
“What we can proudly say is that with Beanleaf they really are in full support to their partner’s decisions, they won’t let you down, and they are not that strict when it comes to their partners’ plans like innovating the food offerings,” she said.
She added Beanleaf allowed the franchisees to innovate and offer menu that is relevant to their customers.
On October, Torres-branch is set to officially launch its new food meals like the crab balls, pork chop barbeques, etc.
Other meals available are beef steak, beef stew, pork adobo and pork kaldereta, among others.
The coffee and milk shop also offers Frappe (coffee base), trademark beverages (milk base), fruit tea, milk tea, hot espresso drinks, sandwiches, sausages, pasta, snacks, cakes and waffles.
For milk teas, flavors available are raspberry, peach, green apple, matcha, oreo and taro. While for coffee and frappes’ flavors like cramel macchiato, red velvet, green tea matcha, cookie, coffee jelly, dark choco macha and nutella overload are available.
“We are happy that our customers are satisfied, they keep on coming back (in the store), and we are thankful that we are able to branch out this year,” she said.
Orpiano said expansion areas for Davao City for more Beanleaf branches are Buhangin and Calinan.
