Al Horford carries Kyrie-less Celtics to 12th straight victory

THE Boston Celtics faced the Toronto Raptors without their All-Star point guard, Kyrie Irving, who suffered a facial fracture the last game the Celtics played against the Charlotte Hornets.

Fortunately for Boston, Al Horford came back from his concussion and was able to spark the Celtics to a one point victory, 94-95.

Despite Raptors Demar Derozan scoring a game high of 24 points and 4 assist, he was against the league's no.1 defensive team and was not able to make the game winning shot courtesy of the defense of Boston's Jaylen Brown.

Five Celtics players scored in double digits with Horford bagging 21 points, Jayson Tatum with 13, Jaylen Brown with 18, Smart with 14 and Terry Rozier with 16 points while the Raptors Kyle Lowry scored 19 points and Cj Miles with 10.

The Celtics (12-2) will face next the Brooklyn Nets (5-8) while the next game for the Toronto Raptors (7-5) will be against the Houston Rockets (11-3). (Frankl Glarino, USC-AB Communications Intern/SunStar Philippines)
