Alvarez: Becoming more productive in 2017

PRODUCTIVITY means doing something for a cause. It is a conscious recognition that living a life is not being idle but an everyday process of planning and transforming it to actions with your full capacity to complete a goal.

Productivity has a purpose and it uses our minds for creating ideas without allowing to withhold them just to please others as it will stop us from growing and developing into a goal-oriented person.

The thing is, we all have the capacity to think big. We all have the days to work hard and stop being lazy – so, why is it then that others produce much output while others don’t? I would like to share to you the brightest thunder strategies that is created with the heart and built with the mind, so you become more productive in 2017.

Wake up early and arrive at work an hour earlier than the daily schedule. To become productive is to realize that tardiness and delays are a no, no, no. Your tasks surely have not been completed because you have waited for the day to end yet before finishing the tasks. With self-discipline and control, there will be no hard task for you in time because you have been used to preparing for work as if you are going to fight a battalion of workloads.

Clean your workplace area before anything else. Clutter and mess means you are unorganized. It is hard for anyone to complete a task satisfactorily when he or she can’t even fix the mess on his or her workplace. Working in a mess is like jumping into crumpled paper in the trash. Oh, dust and garbage’s can also affect a heart that pledges to be productive. So, start cleaning up now.

Start your day by revisiting your goals every morning. Finish the biggest task, identify which is essential and eliminate the rest.

Remember that opportunities may knock only once or twice – do what is seemingly an impossible task because not all people accept challenges and thus they stay useless. Your goal should be to complete what is on your list and not to make more lists out of your tasks that are already piling up.

Take a break every after completed task. Drink and refuel, eat and recover, think without a task to complete for a while but don’t do it for the rest of the day. And never forget to thank God for your day because work is a blessing. However, a work that is not well done will make you restless.

Ignore the work vampires. If you don’t like detractors then say nothing. Don’t work at your best and be nothing in this world. That’s the simplest thing to do but that would make you the idlest person in this world. Hence, if there are vampires that sip your energy, it means that you are productive. A productive life cannot ever be measured alone by gaining the most approval. Those that consistently criticize others only reveal their own insecurities.

Learn to say no. Sometimes we always say yes to assignments because we want to please others. But remember that we all have our limitations. It is hard to focus on so many tasks because your worries increase in each added workload. Keep your working passion burning by staying focus with zero interruptions, if possible.

Be open-minded. The measure of intelligence is the ability to change– Albert Einstein. Teach your mind to be like a parachute that will never ever work unless it is open. It is not evil to disagree from other’s opinions but you also have to learn to recognize them even if it is against your favors.

The year 2016 is a history but you should learn from your past experiences. Use it to identify your lapses in becoming productive and you may also try the above strategies for year 2017. Choose to be productive and do it right!
