ARAYAT -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) recently conferred the National Excellence Award in the implementation of Anti-Red Tape Act-Report Card Survey (Arta-RCS) to the local government unit (LGU) of Arayat.
Garnering a score of 94.75 percent, the Arayat local government came third after Santiago City in Isabela (96.45 percent) and Tagum City in Davao Del Norte (95.59 percent), which bested all the cities and municipalities all over the Philippines.
Based on the score card, Arayat had a rating of 92.25 percent in the compliance with Arta provisions (Citizen’s Charter, Anti-Fixer Campaign, Wearing of IDs and nameplates, and No Noon Break Policy) and 96.65 in the Overall Client’s Satisfaction (Frontline Service Provider, Service Quality, Physical Setup, Basic Facilities and Respondent-Client Satisfactory).
Mayor Emmanuel Alejandrino, who personally received the award, said the recognition is a fruit of hard work of local officials, department heads and all government employees in providing genuine public service.
He said the award also embodies the discipline, unity, cooperation and hard work of every Arayetaño who participated in developing the town into the “Bayung Arayat.”
"Ing Bayung Arayat program has been creating better changes, tangible and visible accomplishments with a clear direction toward development and progress in all sectors. I wanted to thank my fellow elected officials, all the employees and staff and the whole Arayat community in helping us reach this milestone,” he said.
Being the only local government in the whole Central Luzon that received the award, Alejandrino said he is sharing the triumph and success to his fellow Kapampangans and the people of Central Luzon.
He also hoped that other LGUs may be inspired by the award to improve their delivery of public service and aim for the National Excellence Award next year.
