Arayat lass is Mutya ning Kapampangan 2015

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- A young pretty lady dubbed “beauty and brains” from the town of Arayat, Noriza Mae Valerio, was crowned as 2015 Mutya ning Kapampangan during the coronation night on Thursday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in this city.

Candidates who landed in the top five were Karla Carmina Joven Canlas of Bacolor, first runner up; Mirjan Hipolito of Angeles City, second runner up; Roxanne Sarmiento of City of San Fernando, third runner up; and Bianca Leana Mae De Leon of Mabalacat City, fourth runner up.

Those who were part of the Top 10 were Dilek Mari Baluyut of Floridablanca, Queenie Eliza Cortez of Magalang, Angelica Atienza of Mexico, Maica Manlabao of Porac and Angela Sophia Tolentino of San Luis.

Candidates who got special awards were Mirjan Hipolito of Angeles City (Miss Derm Clinic and Derm Care); Noriza Mae Valerio of Arayat (Miss Omni Aviation); Rhancoise Marie Mayangitan of Candaba (Miss Telegenic); Dilek Mari Bulut (Miss YSA) and Queenie Eliza Cortez (Miss Beauty and Skin Whitening).

Governor Lilia Pineda expressed joy over the result of the Mutya Ning Kapampangan, which she described as the genuine beauty, intelligence, potential and talents of the Kapampangan that boosts tourism growth of the province.

She said that Mutya Ning Kapampangan has given way for Kapampangans to be together in unity, beauty, cooperation and compassion.

“It inspires us to shine as an individual, as a community and a province. Pampanga now belongs to the top ten richest provinces in the country,” she added.

Governor Pineda said all candidates are considered “Mutya Ning Kapampangan” as they serve as models and ambassadresses of the youth in their respective towns and cities.

This year’s Mutya Ning Kapampangan committee was chaired by Third District Board Member Rosve Henson. It was one of the highlights of the 444th Aldo Ning Kapampangan or Pampanga Day.

The other candidates who vied for the coveted title include Mia Mai V. Tungul of Sasmuan, Jamie Bondoc of Santo Tomas, Meann Jea V. Lascano of Sta Rita, Mae Zeelyn T. Alfonso of Sta Ana, Kathleen Mae T. Esguerra of San Simon, Angela Sophia of San Luis, Jackie Brendan C. Garcia of Mexico, Mary Jane G. Bonifacio of Masantol, Rochelle D. Linao of Macabebe, Janette V. dela Cruz of Lubao, Cristine Joy D. David of Guagua, Maica M. Manlabao of Porac and Rena Marie C. Flores of Apalit.

Henson thanked Governor Pineda, Vice-Governor Dennis Pineda and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, department heads of the provincial government, candidates, and sponsors for the success of the Mutya ning Kapampangan 2015.
