Who remembers Darna, Valentina, Dyesebel, Narda, Dario, Ding, Bangenge and many more? It is time to reminisce the memorable legendary stories based on the popular “komiks” of the 50’s.
Filipino Heritage Festival, Inc., in partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines, National Commission for Culture and the Arts and Pagcor presents Pilipino Komiks, a production of Philippine Ballet Theatre on May 14, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo. The popular and best-loved production is choreographed by Gener Caringal, music by Chino Toledo and costumes by Arturo Cruz.
Witness the super legendary heroines, Darna and Dyesebel come to life and enjoy their exciting battles and struggles in action. See them live and enjoy the simple joys of what the entertainment was like in the years past.
The Pilipino Komiks highlights the appreciation of the cultural treasures of the country which is apt for the 2017 heritage month theme,”Malasakit Para Sa Pamana” (Care for Heritage).
