Awol Bacolod cop dismissed

A POLICEMAN in Bacolod City who had gone absent without leave (Awol) was dismissed from the service.

Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, public information officer of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), confirmed Friday that Police Officer 1 (PO1) Junmar Belardo has been ordered dismissed effective September.

Belardo had gone Awol even before the dismissal order was issued by the Police Regional Office-18 for his administrative offense.

Earlier, PO1s Wenefredo Casuyon, Ryan Lumogdang, and Jemar Harder were also removed from the roll of the Philippine National Police effective September 29 for committing administrative offenses.

Casuyon was charged for grave misconduct after he was involved in the stealing of a borrowed motorcycle of a police trainee on September 2014.

Lumogdang was charged for grave misconduct after he was found positive in a drug test conducted by the BCPO in April 2015.

Harder, meanwhile, was charged for grave neglect of duty after he had gone Awol.
