Bacolod hospital chief told to act on complaint

THE Department of Health (DOH) has directed Dr. Julius Drilon, medical center chief of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City, to respond to the complaint on the alleged unethical behavior of some nurses.

Through Undersecretary Gerardo Bayugo, vice chair of the DOH Integrity Management Committee, Drilon was tasked to take appropriate action and make a comment on the complaint received by Health Secretary Paulyn Rosell-Ubial.

The complaint was sent by the Task Force Crusaders led by its national chairman John Chiong.

“This is consistent with the provisions of Administrative Order No. 2015-0048, Revised Procedures on Handling Administrative Disciplinary Complaints of the DOH,” Bayugo stated in his memorandum to Drilon dated November 15, 2016.

He also directed Drilon to take action on the matter within five days from receipt and that failure to provide a copy of the action taken on the matter is a violation of Republic Act No. 9485 otherwise known as the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007.
