MAYOR Monico O. Puentevella visited the old City Hall Thursday along with city engineers Belly Aguillon, Engr. Allan Agbones, City General Services Jerome Solinap and several others to see the state of the old City Hall located at the heart of downtown Bacolod.

The mayor went room by room until he reached the old Mayor's Office which was used to be the office of former mayors Alfredo Montelibano, Jr., Evelio R. Leonardia, Rolando Villamor, Oscar Verdeflor, and Joy Valdez.

Puentevella let the engineers assess the area and were ordered to make the building ready for use. He also requested to have the National Statistics Office and the Professional Regulatory Commission be based at the old City Hall.

The place can still be made functional again so that the people of Bacolod who have important concerns with the local government more easier and accessible.

Puentevella also planned to hold a People's Day every Friday at the old City Hall. But since the place will still be refurbished, he might hold it at the public plaza by next Friday.

Holding office at the old City Hall was part of his campaign promises and he is working on it for its realization.

He plans to hold office at the old City Hall every Tuesday and Thursday.
