DAVAOEÑOS, young or old alike had a one of a kind afternoon when a group of world-class ballet performers of the country had a show recently in the city.
Last November 7, hundreds of spectators witnessed an extraordinary and artistic dance showcase thru Ballet Ballads with Ballet Manila and RnB singer Luke Mejares.
As early as five in the afternoon mall-goers started to flock the activity center of Abreeza Mall.
Applause and cheers can be heard all over the venue every time the ballet dancers performs a breath-taking stunt while dancing gracefully with the tune of Pinoy ballads and classic hits like the songs Katawan of Hagibis, Dalagang Pilipina, Waray-waray and many more.
It is not a question anymore why Ballet Manila team is so good, knowing that it’s Ms. Lisa Macuja-Elizalde is their founder and Artistic Director.
As we all know, Lisa brought many citations for the Philippines from here and abroad.
In 1984, Lisa became the first Filipina prima ballerina, and first foreign soloist to ever join the Kirov Ballet.
On the other hand, Luke the former front man of Southborder as always never failed the audience with his performance.
Luke sang some heart-warming songs that made the audience kilig and swoon over him.
The Ballet & Ballads wrapped up with a smashing performance of all the cast of Ballet Manila while dancing to the tune of Uptown Funk of Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars, while Luke gamely sing the song.
Right after the one hour performance, the audience had a chance to have a photo opportunity with them who are still in awe with their amazing and artistic performance.
Ballet Ballad was presented by 90.7 Love Radio, 105.1 Easy Rock, Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) and Abreeza Malls.
