Baron Geisler arrested in Quezon City resto-bar

ACTOR Baron Geisler was arrested on Tuesday, October 17, for displaying violent behavior in a resto-bar in Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Guillermo Eleazar said officers from Quezon City Police Station 10 arrested Geisler after receiving complaints from the management of the resto-bar.

The actor allegedly shouted at customers and employees in the bar after having a couple of drinks.

Geisler, who was earlier banned in the same bar, was allowed to enter the establishment earlier Tuesday as he appeared to be calm.

Eleazar said Geisler is facing charges of alarm and scandal and unjust vexation where he may be detained for at least 30 days or pay P200,000 fine.

Geisler, however, denied that he made a scene at the bar.

He also accused the police officers of "power tripping" after they detained him with a handcuff.

"Nakakulong na nakaposas pa rin? Normal ba 'yun? (I’m already detained and I am still wearing handcuffs? Is that normal?)" he said.

While inside the jail, Geisler shouted at the members of the media who tried to take a photo of him.

Police said Geisler has a standing arrest warrant issued by Municipal Trial Court in Lapu-Lapu City for cracking a bomb joke. (SunStar Philippines)
