Bela Padilla on Zanjoe Marudo: ‘I want to give him a chance’

ACTRESS Bela Padilla has hinted at a blossoming romance between her and actor Zanjoe Marudo.

During Monday's guest appearance of the Kapamilya actress in "Tonight with Boy Abunda," Padilla was asked if she is the reason why Marudo made a statement that he's "single but not available" at the moment.

A smitten Padilla clarified that they are not officially together and Marudo is not her boyfriend. The actress said she doesn't want to assume that the actor’s relationship status has something to do with her.

But with further pressing by host Boy Abunda, the "100 Tula Para kay Stella" lead star eventually said that she's single but "keeping myself not available".

Padilla said she wants to give Zanjoe a chance.

"To be honest, I want to keep myself not available because I want to give him a chance. I'm not sure. Let's see," she said.

News of their supposed romance started during the actress' guest appearance in "Gandang Gabi Vice".

Comedian Vice Ganda asked Padilla if she's single, to which she replied yes.

But Ganda commented, "Feeling ko hindi ka na single at ayaw mo lang sabihin. Feeling ko nag-aantay ka lang ng tamang timing."

The comedian eventually turned a bit sentimental and was comforted by Padilla when he talked about his "one great love".

"Ang sakit sakit naman. Wag na natin sabihin kasi baka malaman ninyo na Z ang first letter. Nahu-hurt ako talaga. Hindi pa ako ready," he said.

Vice eventually mentioned Marudo's name in the program.

Padilla and Marudo worked together in ABS-CBN series "My Dear Heart," which aired from January to June this year. (SunStar Philippines)
