CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Revenue Region No. 4 will conduct a massive tax mapping activity among professionals starting this month in Pampanga and the rest of Central Luzon.
The first to be "tax mapped" will be the lawyers and accountants, who will get notifications from the BIR.
The International Bar of the Philippines-Pampanga Chapter president Atty. Peter Paul Maglalang and Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants City of San Fernando, Pampanga president Marlene Flores were invited by BIR Regional Director Araceli Francisco to inform them about the activity.
The conduct of Tax Compliance Verification Drive (TCVD) is pursuant to RMO # 9-2006. The verification shall focus on the registration of requirements under Section 236 of the National Internal Revenue Code (NIRC) and Issuance of Receipts in compliance with Section 237 of the same code and other applicable BIR Rules and Regulations.
Revenue Officers will be deployed to check and verify if they are registered and paying the necessary taxes to the government.
“Let us show love to our country by supporting this activity and all other programs of the Bureau of Internal Revenue with their advocacy in collecting the much needed revenues for nation building. If we love the Philippines, it is our duty and obligation to register, file and pay our taxes right and early,” Francisco said.
