A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy was reported missing after he drowned in a river in Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, November 3.
The victim was identified as Andrew Despi, of Rizal Bukid, Barangay Zone 10.
Initial investigation showed that Despi drowned when he tried to get his slippers.
Strong current due to heavy rains hampered the rescue operations.
Geofrey Gutierrez of Talisay City Risk Reduction Management Office said that the search will continue at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, November 5.(GYM)
