A FIVE-year-old boy was charred to death in a fire incident in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte Monday night, the police reported Tuesday.
Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula spokesman Rogelio Alabata identified the fatality as Eddie Rebultan Jr.
The boy perished in a fire that broke out around 6 p.m. Monday, December 12, at Purok Violeta in the village of Dicayas, Dipolog City.
Investigation showed that Rebultan’s older brother, Jeric Terrence, 7, lighted a gas lamp and placed it on the floor and left his younger brother unattended. The victim’s mother Florida, 34, was not around during incident.
Alabata said the neighbors noticed the fire but it was already uncontrollable. (Sunnex)
