AMID the heat of debate over a podium parking at Burnham Park, a proposal to set up a parking lot at Camp Allen is being studied.
Councilor Maylen Yaranon, in an ordinance, has proposed the construction of a multi level parking building at Camp Henry T. Allen saying it will augment the facility to address the needs of the city hall, fire department, police and justice hall.
Yaranon said the City Building and Architecture Office (CBAO) is currently making the plans as well as the costing for the six to eight storey structure, which will have space for emergency vehicles and fire trucks including few office spaces and possibly recreation facilities.
The lady lawmaker added that plans are still being finalized by the CBAO after the public hearing which gathered the consensus of stakeholders who gathered representatives from the Barangay Camp Allen, fire department and CBAO saying the final drawing and the costing is being done.
The proposal has passed its second reading and is ready for publication and has earned the approval of the local council.
Yaranon said the Camp Allen plan is more acceptable than the Burnham Proposal.
