REYNALDO De Guzman, the 14-year-old boy who was last seen with Carl Arnaiz, was found dead with 30 stab wounds in Nueva Ecija.
Superintendent Peter Madria, Gapan police chief, said De Guzman was found in a creek in Barangay San Roque on Tuesday, September 5.
De Guzman's remains were brought to Dariz Funeral Parlor in Gapan where they were positively identified by his parents on Wednesday, September 6.
Madria said De Guzman will undergo an autopsy.
De Guzman was last seen with Arnaiz, the 19-year-old former University of the Philippines student who was killed by Caloocan City police officers after he allegedly resisted arrest.
Police said Arnaiz held up a cab driver along C3 road in Caloocan City. They also claimed that Arnaiz, who was armed with a gun, fired at them, prompting them to retaliate.
Arnaiz was found by his parents in a funeral parlor in Caloocan City, 10 days after he was killed on August 18.
The Public Attorney's Office did an autopsy and found five bullet wounds on Arnaiz's body. It also said that the teenager was tortured before he was killed. (SunStar Philippines)
