Cebu drug lord's cousin arrested in Sorsogon

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested the cousin of the slain suspected drug lord operating in Central Visayas.

PNP Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa said Reynaldo Diaz, who has an outstanding warrant over illegal drugs and for two counts of frustrated murder, was arrested in a police operation in Matnog, Sorsogon.

Dela Rosa said that Diaz was the cousin of Jeffrey Autumn Diaz, also known as Jaguar, a Cebu drug lord who was killed in a police operation in Las Piñas last June.

He said the suspect was allegedly the one who took over his cousin’s illegal drug transactions in Central Visayas.

However, Diaz denied the allegations but admitted that he knows several policemen included in his cousin's payroll in relation to his illegal drug operation.

Diaz said he wanted to surrender even before he was arrested but he received threats from the police officials saying that if he implicates them in their illegal activities, they will kill him. (Sunnex)
