CHARLES Streegan and ArtPostAsia launched the coffee table book “Cebu Furniture: A History of Inspiration and Innovation” last Monday, March 12 at Gilt in Crossroads Arcade, Banilad. The book is a 300-page coffee table book celebrating the furniture industry in Cebu from the mid-1940s onwards, chronicling the change in trends and innovative use of our local raw materials. Highlights of the pieces featured in the book were exhibited at Gilt that evening, including iconic pieces from Dedon, Debbie Palau, Infini, Pacific Traders, Mehitabel, Cosonsa, Detalia Aurora, and other furniture makers.
The publishers and their friends, as well as leading people behind the furniture industry in Cebu, from Mehitable’s Josephine and Bob Booth, Debbie Palao, Janice Minor, Pacific Traders, Bon Ace, Nature’s Legacy, and patrons of the arts attended the event.
