THE first-ever Cebu Literary Festival Open Mic will be held at The Walk at the Cebu IT Park today from 7 to 10 p.m. Organized by Little Boy Productions, the free event aims to showcase amateur and experienced spoken word/poetry performers and singer/songwriters in a celebration of poetry and music in a garden setting. Arts and crafts made by local artisans, food, drinks, poetry books, handmade notebooks and other merchandise will also be available.
Among those scheduled to perform are Clyde Inso Chan, Leonor Laluna and David Jones Cua, with musical performances by Therese Villarante and Michael Tuico. An on-site sign up for performers will also be made available starting at 6 p.m. at East West Café - Cebu IT Park.
The bi-monthly Open Mics are scheduled to run until the end of October, leading into the main event of the Cebu Literary Festival 2016 to be held at the Activity Center of the Ayala Center Cebu on Nov. 26.
