Cendaña: Logline Kabataan

LOGLINES are tricky.

This is usually how many screenwriters would describe the process of coming up with these. A logline is a brief summary or description of a story’s dramatic highlight, plot, or central conflict. Usually a sentence or at most two, a logline does not only summarize, it should also titillate and generate interest in the material. It should tell what the story is all about without giving away everything.

In few days, the country will celebrate the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino. For a whole week, only Filipino films will be shown in all cinemas nationwide. The twelve featured films for the maiden edition of the festival were selected based on artistic merit. This gives audiences across the country the chance to watch contemporary Filipino cinematic masterpieces. The festival which runs from August 16 to 22 aims to raise the level of appreciation for the local film industry that is at a point of artistic resurgence or a new golden age.

The youth are very much part of this celebration, not just as audience but as creators themselves through Sine Kabataan.
