CITY Hall announced that interested participants to the “Mi Ciudad de Zamboanga” photo competition has until 5 p.m., Friday, April, 21, to submit their entries.
The photo competition, one of the activities set for the Summer Fest 2017, is open to all amateur and professional photographers residing in Zamboanga City.
City Hall Information Officer Belen Sheila Covarrubias said that a contestant may submit up to three photographs which promote a positive image of Zamboanga City in line with the message of “I Love Zamboanga City.”
Covarrubias said that all submitted photos must have been taken from January 1 to April 18, 2017.
Official entry and registration forms may be obtained from the Public Information Office at City Hall, and registration is free of charge.
Winners will be determined by the following criteria: visual appeal, 30 percent, technical aspect, 30 percent, artistic aspect, 30 percent, and online votes, 10 percent.
The public exhibit, and the awarding of winners will be held during the Dia de Ma’am Caling commemorative program on April 26 at the Jardin Maria Clara in Pasonanca.
The top winners will receive P7,000, P5,000, and P3,000.
Finalists will receive P 1,000. A special prize, the Voter’s Choice, will also be awarded to the photo entry with the most number of shares and likes on Facebook. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
