City Hall awaits IPM-CDC billing

THE Department of Public Services (DPS) said garbage hauler IPM-Construction and Development Corp. (IPM-CDC) has not yet submitted its initial billing to the city government.

DPS head Nelson Sedillo said Friday this means IPM-CDC is not yet paid of its services.

IPM-CDC has a four-month contract with the City Government for a total of P59,433,425.28 from September 3 to December 31.

“Since Day 1, they have not submitted their billing yet. We are just waiting. They have to attach supporting documents such as permit and trip tickets as proof and the Solid Waste Management Board will issue the

certificate of compliance,” Sedillo said.

Sedillo gave IPM-CDC a satisfactory rating, based on their latest evaluation of the company’s performance in garbage collection.

He said though that IPM-CDC has to be deducted of penalties for the uncollected garbage in some areas during their first few weeks of operation.

“Under the city’s contract with IPM-CDC, penalties will be imposed against them for uncollected garbage in 24 hours,” Sedillo said.

Violations committed by the company is pegged at less than P100,000 which will be deducted to the city’s payment, based on their billing.

Penalties under the contract is P500 for first offense and P1,000 for the second offense, Sedillo added. (TDE)
