Closer to the city

THE freshest catch of the day right at your table—that’s a promise by Manang Julings Kilawan, valuing not only flavor but also freshness.

This is a family legacy that started out in the ‘70s in Talisay City, Cebu. It was known as one of the first few carenderias to offer “sutukil” (sinugba, tinola and kinilaw) and was particularly praised for its kinilaw and other seafood dishes. The food place was named after Juling Abarquez, mother of nine, and is currently being managed by her daughters Alicia Daan and Sarah Suizo.

Now, in partnership with one of its regular patrons, Manang Julings opened a second branch located in Mango Square Mall along Juana Osmeña St. almost 40 years later, still serving the same unchanged recipes and experience, found in the city.

Apart from its well-known dish, the kinilaw, try out its other offerings like the Tuna Panga, Nilarang Tasik, Steamed Lambay, Seafood Laing and so many more from appetizers and soups to meats and vegetables. The main course bestsellers are the seafood and the sinugba. Patrons are assured nothing but the freshest seafood as they are sourced from the fisherfolks of Talisay.

For dessert, try the mini turon with caramelized syrup, and other Filipino favorites. The place can accommodate more than 50 people and comes with a function room.

Manang Julings Kilawan is open from 10 a.m - 11 p.m. daily.
