Comelec, police, army ready for election

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec), Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) are all set for the May 14 elections.

These government agencies held its first coordinating conference at Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) headquarters in Iloilo Wednesday.

Present were lawyer Dennis Ausan, regional Comelec director; Brigadier General Francisco Delfin, assistant division commander of 3rd Infantry Division of Philippine Army; Chief Superintendent Cesar Binag, regional director of PRO-6; and Assistant Secretary Manuel Felix of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

In a press release, Chief Inspector Joem Malong, public information officer of PRO-6, said the Regional Joint Security Control Center was activated to monitor and synchronize the activities of the different tasked units under PRO-6.
