Construction worker stabbed to death

A CONSTRUCTION worker was stabbed to death by his co-worker inside their barracks at Yanson II, Eroreco Subdivision in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City on Sunday.

Police identified the fatality as Ranie Siason, 39, of La Castellana town.

Initial investigation showed that Siason and the suspect, Johnny Dee, 26, of Barangay Tangub this city, were having a drinking session together with their other co-workers when a heated argument ensued between them.

When Siason was about to go inside the barracks, Dee stabbed him using a bladed weapon.

Siason sustained a lone stab wound and was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Dee was also stabbed and is confined at a hospital.

Man stabs brother

Meanwhile, a man was stabbed by his younger brother at Hacienda Colombia, Barangay Malobon in Sagay City, Negros Occidental last Friday.

Police identified the victim as Ramir Abello, 46.

Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, deputy chief of Sagay City Police Station, said Ramir, who was on his way home, was invited by his younger brother Ranil to join his drinking session with two friends.

However, a heated argument ensued between the brothers that prompted Ranil to go home and get a bladed weapon.

Albaytar said Ranil stabbed Ramir on the chest several times.

Ranil was arrested by police officers while Ramir was rushed to a hospital.(GYM)
