THE contractor renovating the Athletic Bowl has hired more workers to beat the August 23 deadline of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for finishing the project.
Pepe Felipe, site supervisor for RUA Construction, told Sun.Star Baguio they are trying to make up for the days lost because of the long rainy spell.

The concreting of the oval was least 90 percent finished as of Monday, with around 50 more meters left, he said.
All material and equipment have to be transferred out of the oval “so that we can start leveling the ground,” Felipe said.
Apart from the oval, work on the drainage and the bleachers also have to be finished.
The oval’s new rubberized track cannot be installed until the concrete is fully dried. Mark Victor Pasagoy
