A SECURITY guard of a convenience store in I.T. Park, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City shot his fellow guard dead around 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, December 6.
The leasing manager of the building, where the convenience store is situated, said the guards, who are from the Rockland Security Agency, were about to change shifts when the incident happened.
The police identified the victim as Veronico Vergara, 30, resident of Barangay Camputhaw, while the suspect is John Carlo Espinosa, 24, resident of Barangay Carreta.
The police said Vergara was supposed to relieve Espinosa in the convenience store.
Senior Police Officer 2 Romel Bancog, of the homicide section of the Cebu City Police Office, said the victim died on the spot after he sustained gunshot wounds in the neck and chest.
