Coop loses P171,000 in cash

AN ESTIMATED P171,780 worth of cash was stolen from a marketing cooperative at Bais City, Negros Oriental, last Saturday, April 22.

Police said a female employee discovered around 7:30 a.m. that the documents inside their office were scattered on the floor and the drawers were already opened.

She immediately informed her manager, who reported the incident to the police.

Investigation showed that unidentified men entered the office from the back portion of the establishment by destroying the fence.

In another development, a fish vendor was shot to death by an unidentified man at the public market of Barangay 7 Poblacion, Isabela, Negros Occidental, on Sunday.

Police identified the fatality as Raymund Invidiado, 42, of Regalado Street, Barangay 6 Poblacion.

Investigation showed the victim was about to leave his stall when the assailant fired at him. He succumbed to two gunshot wounds.

Recovered from the scene were three fired cartridges of .45 caliber pistol.

Isabela police chief Edfel Balibadlan said Invidiado was also shot a few months ago. He was also involved in a stabbing incident.

Balibadlan said they are eyeing revenge or grudge as the motive.
