Cops receive medals for exemplary anti-drug campaign

THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula (Western Mindanao) has awarded Medalya ng Kagalingan to 38 police commissioned and non-commissioned officers for their exemplary performance in the campaign against illegal drugs in the province of Zamboanga del Norte.

Chief Superintendent Billy Beltran, PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula director, pinned the medals to the awardees in a ceremony held over the weekend during the official’s visit in the municipality of Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte.

The awardees included seven officers and 31 non-commissioned officers who are assigned in the different areas of the province, which comprises of two cities and 25 towns.

The seven official-awardees are the following: Chief Inspector Mohammad Hashim Sahidani, Chief Inspector Khisna Asaali, Chief Inspector Jose Rivero III, Chief Inspector Chamer Lacay, Senior Inspector Regie Torita, Inspector Adrian Angelo Del Rosario and Inspector Ronald Lozada.

The non-commission officer-awardees are as follows: Senior Police Officer 1 (SPO1) John Randy Rulona, SPO1 John Henrick Ferolino, SPO2 Romeo Abil, SPO4 Angelo Cadavedo, SPO2 Ernesto Ali, SPO2 Eliezr Tampipi, SPO2 Roy Vertudes, P03 Jose Donato Montallana, PO3 Alicar Tindugan, PO3 June Guardi Reales, PO3 Elmor Caboverde, PO2 Merham Lamsing, PO2 Melchar Garcia, PO2 Jessy Ray Adepin, P02 Ian Ray Arabejo, PO2 Rasghid Paniorotan, PO2 Jay Narvacan, PO2 Denver Yrañela, PO2 Dennis Berjame, PO2 Dexter Patiluna, PO2 Florian Ronald Villano, PO2 Rey Saladaga, PO2 Edgar Redoble, Jr., PO2 Renato Digamon, PO2 Jeromel Gitalan, PO1 Renato Digamon, PO1 Banjo Bayani, PO1 Jason Flores, PO1 Jo-an Utong, PO1 Gilbert Pontanar and PO1 Jomer Gabonada.

Some of the awardees also received cash incentives from Beltran.

Beltran extolled the awardees for their excellent performance on the campaign against illegal drugs, which are worthy of admiration and emulation by their comrades in the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Aside from Liloy, Beltran also visited the municipalities of Sirawai, Siocon and Gutalac to get first hand information on the prevailing situation in the four areas. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
