THE best of Zamboanga City’s agriculture and fishery products are on display and for sale at the agri-aqua fair, which opened on Tuesday, October 3, at historic Plaza Pershing.
This year’s fair, dubbed as Cosechas de Zamboanga (Zamboanga’s harvest), is on its 13th year. It forms part of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival activities.
It is an annual initiative spearheaded by the Office of the City Agriculturist and Department of Agriculture to showcase locally produced products by the different agricultural and fishery organizations from the city’s six agricultural districts.
A total of 30 exhibitors have joined this year’s activity, which will run from October 3 to 27.
Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, who led the opening program, has lauded the local farmers and fisher folks for their dedication and their efforts to see to the agricultural needs of the city and of the residents. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
