Davao Aguilas, Khanj FCs boot rivals in Kadayawan football fest

THE Davao Aguilas and Khanj Football clubs shared top honors in the Davao Regional Football Association (DRFA)-organized 32nd Kadayawan sa Dabaw Football Festival held at the Tionko Football Field last August 28.

Aguilas grabbed a 2-0 score beating Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC)-Nest Gas in the finals to secure the men's division title in the event backed by Sports Development Division-City Mayors Office (SDD-CMO).

Khanj FC, for its part, blanked D' Davao Survivors (DDS), 2-0, in the women's division championship game.

In other matches, Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) girl's team ruled the 12-year-old category after beating Jarex-Hechicky FC, 3-0, whom they drew with a score of 0-0 in the elimination round.

The RMC Bulldogs also emerged champion in mixed 6 by beating Maco FC, 1-0, while the Hyenas FC scored a 2-0 win over Amigos United in the finals of mixed 8 category.

Other champions were Crocs FC (boys 14), Black Knights FC (boys 17), Philippine College of Technology (girls 17), M7 United (35 and above), Rovers FC (mixed 10) and Koronadal FC (boys 12).
