DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has offered the leaders of the local government of Marawi technical assistance for planning, budgeting and creation of projects for livelihood.
“We had a ceremonial giving of check worth five million to Marawi, we also gave a proposal letter for technical assistance for the city government with regards to planning, budgeting and creation of projects for livelihood,” she said of her recent visit to Marawi City.
She added that she presented the city’s practices on livelihood projects specifically granting of loan to livelihood groups currently practiced by the Davao City Cooperative Office.
“We offered them technical know-how on how to use the money pero depende gihapon sa ila asa ang ilang direction (but it will still depend on them, what will be their direction),” Duterte-Carpio said.
President Rodrigo Duterte declared the liberation of Marawi last October 23 after the five-month siege that caused massive destruction to main structures — houses and buildings in the area. (KVC)
