Davao urges public to bring IDs

THE Davao City Government urged public not to forget their identification cards as they join and celebrate the 32nd Kadayawan sa Davao Celebration.

In light with the peace and order concern, the City Government issued eight guidelines for the peaceful celebration of Kadayawan and sixth on the list is bringing IDs.

“Bring identification cards always. Foreigners are advised to bring passports and other proofs of identification,” the guideline read.

The city also advised public to follow smoking ban, liquor ban, and 30kph speed limit in central district, the wearing of helmets, and no drunk driving for the public’s safety.

The public was also advised not to carry backpacks and water containers that are not transparent.

During the opening of the Kadayawan Festival on Monday evening, August 14, visitors all had to go through the security inspections and the presentation of ID cards.

Those who did not have IDs had to write down their names on a piece of paper.
