Davao's homegrown resto all set to go nationwide

HOMEGROWN restaurant Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps is targeting to establish 10 branches nationwide by 2017.

April Ranel Escobillo, marketing officer of the restaurant, told reporters Monday, November 7, during the Kapehan Sa Dabaw in SM City- Annex, the homegrown restaurant is set to conquer the national market expanding operations in Visayas and Luzon and strengthening its market position in Mindanao.

At present, the restaurant, which is managed under AA Group of Companies, has three branches, two in Davao City (J.P. Laurel Avenue and Lanang Biz Park) and Manila (SM North Edsa).

By the end of year, Escobillo said, two more branches will be launched, one each in SM City Davao and SM Mall of Asia (MOA).

“We will end the year with five branches nationwide. We target to open the SM City Davao branch by December 5 and MOA branch by December 3,” she said adding that all their outside Davao branches are franchised.

Established since December 2013, Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps introduced to the Davao market a unique dining concept - boiling bag concept.

Justine Lumingkit, also the restaurant’s marketing officer, for her part, said the soon-to-open branch in SM City Davao will cater to the city’s southern market.

“Our SM City Davao branch has a 278 square meter area with a 150 seating capacity and a function room,” Lumingkit said.

Lumingkit said all the shrimps and crabs products are sourced in Mindanao, particularly in Zamboanga and Surigao.

Asked on the daily supply of shrimps and crabs needed per branch, Escobillo said, the company is supplied with 50 to 100 kilos daily per branch.

“With the expansion, we guarantee our customers to offer the best and freshest products. We assure them that we will give them the value for money,” she said.
