ANG Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) nagpahigayon og inagurasyon alang sa kauna-unahang DigiBayanihan Center of Excellence ngadto sa DOST Compound, Gov M. Cuenco, Banilad, dakbayan sa Sugbo.
Ang DigiBayanihan usa ka innovative digital empowerment nga kalihukan nga nagtumong sa paghatag og digital literacy, digitally-enabled literacy ug digital citizenship.
“The model of DigiBayanihan, I want to focus on the word “Bayanihan” so it really works in partnership or multi-stakeholder partnership because we recognize ASSIST is a very small organization in the program and itself for around 9 or 10 people. The way we roll out is we trained the trainers from different organizations that are directly links to the communities and thats how we reach the communities and then in return our partnership, on how they were able to used the information the content,” ingon pa ni Mary Ann Mendoza, Program Manager.
Gisuportaan sab kini sa Google.org, ang programa gipaluyohan sa nagkalapad ug nagkalain-lain nga panag-uban nga panagsungi nga natinguha sa paghikap, pagbansay ug pagbag-o sa kinabuhi sa Pilipino pinaagi sa digital empowerment.
Kabahin sa programa mao ang pag-establisar og 6 kabuok Centers of Excellence sa Visayas ug Mindanao.
“The centers aim to become inclusive havens of free digitally-related education for all,” matod pa ni Sreenivas Narayanan, ASSIST Managing Director.
Mamahimo kining community hubs alang sa mga estudyante ug uban pang interesado niini aron maka-access sa mga serbisyo sa gitawag nga ICT o Information and Communication Technology sama sa digital literacy, edukasyon, e-government ug alang sab sa kauswagan sa mga trabaho.
Ang DigiBayanihan nga giubanan sab sa DICT Tech4Ed mopahigayon og mga pagbansay kung unsaon paggamit ang content sa DigiBayanihan alang sa tanang Tech4Ed Managers.
Aduna sab gi+ay sa digital library ug digital content development alang sa public library staff, mga magtutudlo ug uban pang mga miyembro sa komunidad aron sila mahimong DigiBayanihan instructors, advocates ug service providers.
Ang tumong mao ang pag-abante ug pagpalig-on sa ilang digital nga kapasidad nga makabaton og kaayohan sa tanan.
“For example next week on Feb. 15 we are launching project, its about making clear water available in the certain municipality of the province of Aurora which constantly hits during typhoons and the water gets muddy so the school will drink this water and they all get sick,” dugang pa ni Narayanan.
Ang programa nagplano sa pagpahigayon og mga mini forum sa matag sentro. Kini nag-awhag sa mga Non-Government Organizations (NGO) nga makasalmot ug mamahimong manguna sa mga digital learning hub.
Kini nagtumong sa pag-establisar sa imprastraktura sa teknolohiya ug sa pagkat-on nga bukas sa tanan.
