TODAY is Sunday and it’s dim sum day at the Lotus Court.
Have a few of those steamed bite-sized fares, or have a lot. No one’s stopping you from feasting on the delicious selections on the buffet.

Yes, it’s back. Again, all Sundays of summer from March 12 to May 28 is officially Dim sum lunch buffet Sunday at the Lotus Court. The midday buffet spread will be filled with hard-to-resist Chinese offerings from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The staple items on the Lotus Court menu may be your favorites— the hakao, pork shrimp siomai and spinach dumpling, but this year's buffet will titillate your palate as Marco Polo Davao's dim sum master Junel Obero introduces new dim sum items, like the glutinous rice in lotus leaves, chu chow dumpling and three layer pudding.
"We are happy to introduce new items in our dim sum line up this year. Our diners will get to sample more varieties and mark them as their favorites," says Executive Chef Alex Destriza who also introduced inspirational dishes for Lotus Court called Fiery Wok.
The new creation includes stir-fried crabs with vermicelli, chilies and satay sauce with crumbled salted in hot pot; Wagyu US beef Short Ribs with pink peppercorn; and vegetable fried rice with minced pork Lotus Court style.
At the “House of Buchi”, expect the crowning glory of the banquet on the buffet. Delightful confections also come in threes as the buchi will come in three variants—the traditional red bean, the dark chocolate and durian.
While you’re in saccharine heaven, the Coffee Jelly with Vanilla Ice Cream is a must-try. It’s a totally refreshing dessert fit for summer.
