DOH: No recall of mosquito repellent

THE Department of Health (DOH) belied reports that it issued an advisory on a recall and ban order for establishments selling Baoma Black Mosquito Repellent Incense Anti-Mosquitoes.

Recent advisory of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showed that highly reliable and verified reports have been brought to DOH's attention about the circulation of the advisory that forged the signature of Secretary Janette P. Loreto-Garin.

FDA warned unscrupulous entities and/or individuals to cease and desist from illegal, unfair, and unethical practices, specifically relating to the false circulation of information without authority or official directive from the DOH or FDA.

The FDA added that it will not tolerate such unlawful act intended to facilitate black propaganda and unethical marketing strategies of certain entities and/or individuals for their own beneficial advantage and economic gain.

The DOH is coordinating with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to ensure that people behind such illegal and unlawful practices will be arrested and charged with appropriate sanctions and penalties. (ICT)
