Dragons foil Patriots in ABL (4:08 p.m.)

MANILA -- Another classic case of homecourt advantage.

The Philippine Patriots suffered its second straight loss this week after surrendering to the KL Dragons, 59-77, in the Asean Basketball

League (ABL) Saturday night at the Maba Stadium, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

University of the East (UE) standout Rudy Lingganay led the Dragon's campaign with 14 points, followed by Adamson University (AdU) starter Roel Hugnatan and Jamal Brown with 13 points each.

Import Jason Dixon topscored for the Patriots with 19 points and 15 rebounds while Robert Wainwright chipped in 12 points.

The loss relegated the Patriots to a league-best 9-4 win-loss record while the Dragons improve to fourth place at 5-7, half game above idle Brunei Barracudas (5-6).

Last Wednesday, the Patriots bid for securing the number one seed in the Final Four was spoiled by Singapore Slingers, 59-67 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
