BAYAMBANG, Pangasinan -- One person was killed and two others were injured when a speeding owner-type jeepney crashed into a concrete waiting shed at 7:33 p.m. Sunday in Barangay Alingan here.
The lone fatality was identified by police as Jolly Tuatis, 26, driver of the jeepney, who was rushed to the Bayambang District Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Injured were couple Joel and Jessa Custodio of Barangay Zone V, Bayambang.
According to witnesses, the jeepney was headed south of the national highway in high speed when it swerved to the right, ramming the waiting shed on the road side.
Police said the vehicle incurred heavy damages on its front portion and engine. (PNA)
