Drummond's dominance spells win for Pistons

Published on:

THE Detroit Pistons offense and defense was just too much to handle for Kyrie Irving of Boston Celtics giving the former team a 10-point win at the end of the game, 118-108.

Former Celtics player Avery Bradley made his presence known at the defensive end against his former team when he locked down on Irving and letting him make six out of his 16 shots from the field scoring just 18 points in by the final buzzer.

But it was Avery's teammate, Andre Drummond, who was the star of the game.

Drummond dominated both on the offensive and defensive end and was able to grab 10 rebounds in the first quarter alone.

Drummond eventually finished the gane with 26 points and an impressive 22 rebounds.

Boston tried to put Drummond in the free throw line a couple of times later in the fourth quarter to slow down the run by the Pistons.

Eventually, the score was tied 100-100 until Detroit finally made some stops in the defensive end and pulled away for the 10-point win. (USC AB Communications Intern Frankl Glarino/SunStar Philippines)
