A SENIOR citizen died after she was hit by a passenger bus in Sitio Abante, Barangay Bongon, Tabuelan, Cebu, at 2:20 p.m., Saturday, July 29.
Investigation showed that the victim Remegia Romo, 73, widowed, suddenly crossed the highway when the incident happened.
The Tabuelan Rescue Unit personnel rushed the victim to Tuburan District Hospital but she died on board their ambulance.
Bus driver Mario Montes Hermoso surrendered to Tabuelan Police Station. He told investigators that he noticed the victim suddenly crossing the street and he stepped on the brakes, but he still hit her.
The Tabuelan Rescue Unit personnel rushed the victim on board their ambulance to Tuburan District Hospital, where she died.
