POLICE Regional Office (PRO)-Central Visayas Director Jose Mario Espino said he is waiting orders from Camp Crame over the possibility that personnel of Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (Noppo) will go back to PRO-Central Visayas.
Noppo was part of PRO-Central Visayas before the creation of the Negros Island Region (NIR) in May 2015. The NIR was dissolved by President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday, August 9.
Negros Oriental is a hotbed of communist rebels, who ambushed a team of police officers in Guihulngan City last month, killing the city police chief Superintendent Arnel Arpon, five of his personnel and a civilian. (KAL)
