ETCS-III, Sum-ag NHS rule schools MassKara streetdance

THE Education and Training Center School (ETCS)-III and Sum-ag National High School (SNHS) were hailed champions in the MassKara street and arena dance competition school category held at the Bacolod public plaza on Saturday.

Each champion school received P50,000 in cash prize.

Also in the elementary category, Francisco R. Flores Elementary School won first runner-up while Jose R. Torres Elementary School was second runner-up. They received P30,000 and P20,000 in cash prizes, respectively.

ETCS-III also won the Best in Mask and Best in Costume awards while Jose R. Torres Elementary School was adjudged Best in Concept and Best in Choreography.

The mask and costume of ETCS-III were designed by Noel Da-al and Rhesah Yoro, respectively.

ETCS-III principal Ma. Fe Toledo expressed her gratitude to all who helped them in their three-month preparation.

Winners of special awards received P3,000 each.

In the high school category, Luisa Medel National High School was declared first runner-up; Fr. Gratian Murray, AFCS Integrated School, second runner-up; and Domingo Lacson National High School, third runner-up.

The runners-up were given cash prizes of P30,000; P20,000; and P10,000, respectively.

Sum-ag NHS, which was second runner-up last year, also bagged the four special awards: Best in Mask, Best in Costume, Best in Concept, and Best in Choreography.

School principal Warlito Rosareal also thanked everyone who helped and supported them.

“It's only by the grace of God and cooperation of everyone, including the teachers, students, parents and sponsors that we have achieved this award,” Rosareal said.

In 2014, the school was also hailed champion and also won the Best in Choreography and Best in Concept awards.

The mask and costume of Sum-ag National High School were designed by Mila Laplante and. Ann Cleofe Antonia Libo-on, respectively. The school’s choreographer is Emily Jane Gonzales.
