Ex-convict declared 'armed and dangerous'

AFTER three days, operatives from the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) now declared Jessie Largo, as armed and dangerous and is being hunted all over the province of Cebu.

Largo, an ex-convict, allegedly gunned down the son of a former reporter and staff of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), identified as John Ronli Calizar, 22.

Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Lloyd Dino on Sunday said he was saddened by the death of Calizar.

He has urged the Philippine National Police and the National Bureau of Investigation to help one another in conducting a wider manhunt against suspected killers Largo and an unidentified cohort.

"He is now wanted provincial-wide in a manhunt. The public is advised to tell authorities immediately once he is sighted," Superintendent Joie Yape Jr., chief of the PIB-Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) said.

Largo, with a cohort, gunned down Calizar inside the rented room of the former's ex-girlfriend Katherine Cabungcag in Barangay Lawaan, Talisay City, last Saturday, August 26. (JOB)
