Fake doctor in Zamboanga Del Sur sued

THE Office of the Ombudsman has recommended the filing of charges against a former municipal health officer for falsely representing himself as a licensed doctor.

In a seven-page resolution, the Ombudsman charged former Municipal Health Officer George Comendador of Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur with the violation of Section 3 of Republic Act 3019 otherwise known as the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

The allegation was proven after Comendador’s name did not appear on the list of licensed individuals at the Professional Regulations Commission.

The Ombudsman further stated that the municipality of Margosatubig suffered undue injury as they had paid Comendador a salary worth P4,388,378.60 since his employment for the job from January 1996 until his retirement in May 2013.
