AS ANOTHER year ends, it is now time to know the fashion ins and outs of 2017.
What could be the new trends that the New Year would introduce? What could be the fashion gurus all over the world been predicting on what 2017 would bring in terms of fashion style? Would some of 2016’s top fashion flair still be relevant this year?
Before we bring you the new set of fashion ins, let us first talk about the 2016 trends that will already be out in 2017.
What not to wear
1. Chokers will never be fashionable this time. If you were a fan of chokers, whether the lace type or the string one, during the past year, it appears that you have to put them away this year. Anyway, you may opt to keep them for future use. Who knows? They might be a trend again in 2018.
2. Micro pleats, or those teeny-weeny folds on your skirts, will not crossover to 2017. If you were using such bottoms, both in short and maxi lengths, in the past year, 2017 may not find it cool to still see you in them.
3. Blouses and dresses that expose your shoulders are said to be among the fashion outs this new year. While this was a fashion statement in 2016, your fascination for Bardot and off-shoulder clothes may need to park for a while.
r4. Denim jeggings (leggings and jeans in one) are also considered out of fashion this year. Therefore, fashion experts reportedly advised to toss them out of your closet. However, if you feel like keeping them until they get back to being fashionable once again, you may also do so.
r5. Mega-low jeans need not be used this time. While they appeared to be out of fashion in 2017, it is worth noting as well that it does not look good when something peeps from your behind whenever you sit. Yes, there is always that risk of showing off your crack unintentionally.
What to wear
Now that we have already laid down the so-called fashion outs in 2017, here are the fashion pieces that every fashionista will look forward to this year:
1. Stripes will be your bestfriend this year. It is best to identify, though, if your body type needs the horizontal or vertical ones.
2. Expect that sneakers will continue to reign among fashionistas in 2017. There would be twists, though, that some brands and designers would introduce. Yes, you could anticipate heeled sneakers in zebra prints. Accordingly, the clean-looking white sneakers may no longer be part of your daily ensemble.
3. Clothing in artistic patterns are said to be an “in” thing this new year. This means that designers are up for creating palazzo pants in bold floral prints or Aztec patterns.
